• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Bee -- Love the new quad-ouple : I love all of Brea Alepoú's books, the stories are unique and imaginative, this series is dark and lovely, the characters are amazing, the emotions are high. The only negative is that they all need a good read through to edit before finalizing. Names are mixed up, character perspective is swapped in the middle of the scenes, and sometimes dialogue is worded awkwardly. I was sad when I first realized it wasn't more of Karter and his men but finnelly and Rome needed their time to shine and honestly I couldn't have thought of a better way Jacob. ...l I love that creepy stalker character of his. To be honest i was more interested in the love interests than finnley. And most of the book was in his pov. I couldn't click with him at all and can't see why cambridge, jacob and rome was so obsessed with him. It was nice to see the other characters tho and im interested in what's going on between ryeland and lyink. I will check out the next book to hopefully connect to finnley somehow. Wrong names, incorrect words, wrong tense and confusing sentence structures let it down. There were some inconsistencies in the storyline as well. The time jumps were jaring, the MC felt very flat, the romantic interaction wasn't explored more than 'i shouldn't find that hot but I do so I must be a monster.'
